    Top Tips!

    Did you know?
Your next statement (and invoice) will contain any lateproofreading fines applied to your account?
As mentioned in previous e-newsletters, PHOENIX will automatically apply a later proofreading fine to your account if you proofreading and reject Self-service ads later than 48 business hours. These fines are marked clearly on both your quarterly statement and invoice

    PHOENIX Newsletter
    International Classified Media Association
    Nr. 21 - November 2006

    Dear Karina,

Welcome to this 'just-about-got-it-out' November PHOENIX e-newsletter! ICMA Head Office has not long returned back from a very successful General Meeting in Munich and we are already busy with implementing some of the very good ideas presented at the PHOENIX Workshop.

While everyone starts to slow down as Christmas approaches, ICMA is busy as usual and will be implementing a brand new, state-of-art IT system during the coming months.

Also keep your eyes on these quarterly e-newsletters for details of our new member website and other improved member services. For now, soak up this month's information and send us an email if you have something that you'd like us to cover.

    Kind regards,

    Craig Wilkinson
    ICMA Operations Manager

    New Developments
    PHOENIX system revisions

ICMA has now submitted the list of proposed system revisions to Joshua and are currently waiting for feedback on time and programming costs. Once this has been provided, we should be able to contract this work and provide a target date for completion and upgrade to the current system

Our thanks to all who managed to attend the recent PHOENIX workshop at the Munich General Meeting and for the valuable feedback given. In particular, I would like to thank Quoka, Ocasiao & Pronto-Moscow for their ideas to further improve the service.
Once the initial revision list work has been approved, I hope to be able to consider the changes proposed during the meeting in time for the next service pack.

    Reminders
    Local Users

There have been a number of ACP changes over the recent months and now would be a good time to look through your Local Users list and make sure that this is up-to-date.

As well as keeping your account secure, you help other ACPs save valuable time when sending emails. Don't worry if you delete someone by mistake - you can always put them back in the list and ICMA maintains a master log-in database :-)

    PHOENIX Workshop

During the recent ICMA General Meeting in Munich, I managed to find time to facilitate a small, but highly productive workshop for PHOENIX users. During the session, attendees were presented with the long list of activities that have taken place during the last 12 months and what is planned for 2007.

Attendees also discussed ways to increase business by examining different classification types, further promote Self-service and look at how the system could be improved. If you would like to see the presentation, please click here or visit the ICMA documents library where you will find other PHOENIX presentations

The workshop was a great opportunity to meet with end-users and find out more about the work processes ACPs must go through every day. I have taken all the notes from the feedback session and ICMA Head Office will be considering these ideas (Money permitting!) in future system revisions.
If you have any ideas on how to make work processes better then why not let us know? You can send an email to mailto:c.wilkinson@icmaonline.organd we will add your comments to the list.
