Fausto Dassenno

Fausto Dassenno is Chief Product and Technology Officer for Subito.it, Italy’s no. 1 platform for sustainable buying and selling and the country’s second-largest e-commerce platform, with over 16 million unique monthly users and more than 6 million live listings every day across 38 product categories.

Born and raised in Parma, he founded his own software house while still studying Chemistry at university, developing websites and apps across a range of sectors for major clients. In 2011 he moved in-house, first at eBay Classifieds, where he went from developer to Head of Product in short order. After a spell at Jobrapido.it in 2015 as Product Director, in 2016 he began a significant period working abroad — first at gumtree.com as Head of Product and Technology, then at eFinancialCareers as Global VP Product.

Returning to Italy in 2020 as CPO he moved to the role of CTPO in 2023 now overseeing the whole product, tech and data team.

He advocates for blockchain and AI and has published two books on those subjects.

Outside work, he enjoys running and playing golf.
