R&D Lead and Technology Specialist at Helsinki XR Center and Metropolia University of Applied SciencesSanteri Saarinen is R&D Lead and Technology Specialist of Helsinki XR Center and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Santeri is also a board member for XR4Europe Association’s board of directors. Santeri lives in Tampere where he graduated from Interactive Technology at Tampere University and worked as a researcher in Tampere Unit for Computer-Human Interaction for six years before moving to Metropolia in 2017. Technologically, Santeri has done a bit of everything: educational AR software, 360-degree videos, VR simulators, speech- and gesture-controlled software, multi-user collaborative VR applications for city planning, healthcare and learning contexts. Currently he’s most interested collaborative metaverses, realistic avatars and new training methods for mixed reality.
